Happy King Julien Day! (How It Should Have Gone)Edit
Scene I: The Zoovenir ShopEdit
Skipper: All right. So, why are we here?
Kowalski: Ah, the question that has vexed common man and philosopher alike.
Skipper stares at him.
Kowalski: That's not what you're going for, is it?
Private has a Mort "thumbs-up" on his flipper.
Private: Maurice says he's got a very important announcement.
Maurice: All right. Might I have everyone's attention? Anyone? Eyes and ears?
Skipper, Kowalski, and Marlene are talking. Mason is watching Phil playing a Chinese Trap. Private and Rico are fighting with Mort thumbs-up.
Maurice: Hello? Is anyone listening?
Mort gets on Maurice's head.
Mort: (yells) HEY!
Everyone stops and then Mort gets down.
Mort: Thank you.
Mort pulls a boom box.
Maurice: It is my honor to introduce King Julien, leader of lemurs, lord of the ring-tails, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera!
Mort pushes the play button on the boom box and King Julien enters dancing and cheering for himself. Cheering is also heard from the boom box. The animals glanced looks and then Mort pushes the stop button.
King Julien: Ha-ha-ha. Thank you, Maurice, for your hearty et ceteras I will cut to the chases. In a few hours, we celebrate the biggest holiday of the year!
Marlene: Christmas in July! Except, it's not Christmas and it's not July.
King Julien: (aside) Look how playfully they teased me, Maurice. (laughs) You know I am speaking of King Julien Day! How could you not? It's on every calender.
Maurice pulls out their Lemur calender with a drawing of Julien's face on the number 15.
Private: What about this one?
He pulls out the penguins' calender. Julien snaps his fingers.
Maurice uses a pencil and writes Julien's face on the page.
Julien: Ah-ha! There it is. See? So shut up and start shopping!
Mort laughs and plays the boom box. Julien exits the shop and the music stops.
Marlene: So, what is King Julien Day?
Maurice: On King Julien Day, everybody loads up the gifts on the king and pretty much does whatever he says! It's eight kinds of fun. No lie.
Maurice gives a weak thumb-up.
Skipper: I see. Well in that case, why?
Maurice: You want King Julien to be happy on his holiday. Huh. One time everyone quits King Julien Day, I tell you...
Fade out and into...
Scene II: Flashback of The Zoo on A Rainy Day Edit
He has a flashback of when Julien was frustrated and it was raining. Thunder is heard.
King Julien: There, that that ought to teach you a lesson.
Fade out and back to present. Thunder is heard again.
Scene III: Zoovenir ShopEdit
Maurice: Trust me. You do not want him to have a mood spasm!
Skipper: We'll take our chances. (Mort elbows Skipper) OOF!
Maurice: Alright, I guess you won't have any treats now, would you?
Marlene, Mort, and Maurice (say that five times fast) huddle in. Others join.
Marlene: Uh, what do you mean by “Treats,” the last word said?
Maurice: Candy! LOTS of it! And it'll all be yours, if y'all just celebrate King Julien Day like you mean it.
Skipper: Negative. You can't just reschedule schedule maintenance that's been scheduled right on the schedule.
He points at the calender Maurice is holding. Then looks at the face of Julien on the calender and angrily erase it.
Private: Skipper's right. Candy is candy, I mean duty is duty.
All 'signed sadly. Skipper turn around and sees them all sad. Kowalski blinks sadly. Private sniffles.
Rico: (sadly) Buttons.
Skipper rubs his beak.
Skipper: Shore leave granted for today men. Now get out of here. Bunch of knuckleheads.
Kowalski, Private, Rico and others were happy. Then Kowalski and Rico both accidentally hit Private with their chest butts ,making Private get dizzy and fall over.
Scene V: Penguin, Otter, and Chimpanzee HabitatsEdit
Kowalski, Private, Rico are lifting weights, Phil and Mason are doing jumping jacks, and Marlene is doing push-ups.
Rico: 71,72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80
Mason: 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90
Marlene: 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100!
Scene VI: Lemur HabitatEdit
Julien was standing on his throne wondering where his guests are and Maurice and Mort were standing beside him. The whole habitat was covered with decorations.
Julien: Where are my guests? What's taking them so long?
The chimpanzees and Marlene showed up. Phil was holding two bananas and Marlene was holding flowers.
Mason: Hello! we are here for the candy. Oops!
Maurice turn just in time to see Julien's smirking face staring back.
Julien: (smirking) Yes! Welcome my loyal royal subjects.
Marlene: (nervously shouting) Happy King Julien Day!
Julien reverts back to happy mode at the sound of this.
Maurice: Let's get this party started! Uh, uh, uh, everybody dance!
Julien: Yes! Dance!
Maurice turns on the boom box. Then fast-paced disco music plays.
Scene VII: Penguin HabitatEdit
Skipper was cleaning the floor with a mop with a bucket on the side. Then he hears the music which startles him a bit. He shrugs.
Scene VIII: Lemur HabitatEdit
Everyone's dancing like Julien. This makes him suddenly aware. Then the music changes to the song "Thriller" as Julien lead the dance a la 'Michael Jackson's Thriller. Applause emit from the boom box.
Maurice: Next, the traditional King Julien Day game of tag.
Kowalski: Yo, as in "yo, I am down with that."
Julien: Your it!
Tags Kowalski, who chase the others who gasp with excitement.
Scene IX: Penguin HQEdit
Skipper was wiping of the lenses on the telescope with a cloth with headphones on to sound out the music
Skipper: Nothing more satisfying then a job well--
He takes of his headphones and be heard excited screams and laughter. He 'jumps out of the hatch.
Scene X: Penguin HabitatEdit
Skipper: What the?
See's Julien and other's playing tag.
Scene XI: Lemur HabitatEdit
Maurice was looking through his notepad.
Maurice: Now where was I? Oh, yeah, it's time for the bake-off.
Screen zooms out to the crowd and a poster which flips over showing the bake-on contest.
Maurice: You have one hour to bake the king the your King Julien Day cake and show him what you got.
Julien was sitting on his throne.
Julien: Because what is a party without a cake? Well it's still a party I suppose but it feels like something is missing, something cakey.
Marlene: Anybody here know how to bake?
Private: We don't.
Julien: (gasp in shock) You don't!?
Julien gets frightened. Maurice turns to the king
Maurice: Don't worry, they will learn ( to the others) LET THE BAKE-OFF BEGIN!
Scene XII: Penguin, Otter, and Chimpanzee HabitatsEdit
Kowalski, Rico, and Private were back at their home. They had three eggs and a jug on their table. Private was holding a bowl and Kowalski was holding a pointer. They had a board with drawn instructions on how to bake a cake. The drawing showed that they had to stir the bowl with a spoon. Private had the bowl but there was no stirring spoon. Kowalski and Private look at Rico who then regurgitates a spoon that lands in the bowl. Phil was smashing some eggs on their table with a rolling pin. Mason comes over and points to his eyes which have pineapple slices on them. He had some more pineapple slices in his hand. Marlene was stirring the ingredients in the bowl and she had three eggs on her table. She stops stirring and wipes her forehead from exhaustion. She continues afterward. The penguins clock is ticking down. The penguins shake some salt into the cake. Phil throws eggs into the bowl. Marlene keeps stirring the ingredients. The penguins shake the salt on faster as their clock ticks down. The penguins paste some chocolate on their cake. Marlene squirts icing on her cake and then the time was up.
Scene XIII: Lemur HabitatEdit
Maurice: Time! (he notice the cake) Uh, I think we maybe looking at a draw.
Maurice moves to the side showing Julien sitting on the counter waiting for the cakes to come to him. Marlene showed her cake first. It had a lot of icing and marshmallows on it.
Julien: Ooh! Very nice. Do I see marshmellows?
Marlene: Marshmallows are yummy, (Nervously) and Lemurs love bugs, do they?
Julien: Yes! Ordinarily. But I am on a low tick diet.
Julien takes her cake and she leave. 'The chimpanzee’s cake was next. It looks like a pineapple upside-down cake with berries sticking out.
Mason: (holding the cake) Pineapple upside-down cake glazed with brown sugar and fruit.
Julien: “Fill-ed with fruit” you mean. Move along. (takes their cake)
Maurice pushes the chimpanzees away and then the penguins approached. Their cake looked like it had chocolate all over. Three chocolate bars stick out of it. The first chocolate bar 'consists of bits of toffee, cookie and peanuts in milk chocolate. The second contains white chocolate swirled with milk chocolate. The last is made of dark chocolate topped with milk chocolate medallions.
Kowalski: Death by chocolate.
Julien: Nice presentation. Bring it so that my belly may taste its yumminess! Mort: I’ll bring it.
Mort comes and takes it from Private and starts walking towards Julien in slow motion. Mort hummed as he walked but then he tripped. The cake flies over Julien and the penguins gasp as it flies away.
Scene XIV: The Penguin HabitatEdit
Skipper is cleaning the telescope again.
Skipper: There we--
The cake lands next to skipper. He notices.
Scene XV: The Lemur HabitatEdit
Julien: Ugh! Where's my cake?
Skipper: Hold it, party boy!
Skipper walks over to them with the chocolate cake on his head.
Skipper: Is this the cake you're looking for? Is it?!
Julien: Yes! My cake is back! It’s my cake, everybody! It came back! Silly penguin. Have some in your head , not on it.
Julien knocks on Skipper’s head. Then wipes all the chocolate that was on Skipper’s head off with his finger and flings it at Skipper.
Julien: I am thinking that this was the best King Julien Day ever.
Maurice: I think so, too.
Julien runs off with his cake laughing. Skipper grabs the chocolate piece off his eye and flings it away.
Skipper: What a sicko.
Maurice: Tell me about it. You saved my big old behind, Skipper.
Julien: And because you mention candy, time for the traditional sharing of the sweets.
Julien roll out a giant paper ball with two string attach. He pull on string while Mort pulled the other and the ball burst open and candy flies out. Everyone grab a many candies as possible then meet at the center of the habitat.
Marlene: I've got five pieces of candy!
Skipper: I've got a chocolate bar!
Private: I've got a quarter!
Mort: I've got a rock!
Everyone grab more candy then meet at the center again.
Mason: Gee, golly, I got a candy bar!
Julien: Boy, I got three cookies
Maurice: Hey, I got a package of gum.
Skipper: I got a rock.
Everyone grab more candy then meet at the center one last time.
Skipper: I got a popcorn ball.
Kowalski: I got a fudge bar
Marlene: I got a pack of gum.
Julien: I got a rock
